Failure Points in Software QA Outsourcing

These failures are applicable to QA as a whole and not just to outsourcing. Yet there are some pre-dominant tendencies that set in which are most typical of QA outsourcing relationships.

• Over prescribed Test bench documentation from Customer to the Testing service provider. The QA service provider must be accorded a pro-active responsibility in defining the Test bench and it is his job to do so. Otherwise, neither the vendor nor the Customer will adequately control the Test bench, leading it to drift from accuracy & so will Testing & Defect discovery.
